DVT in Gastrocnemius vein

Posted , 1 user is following.

Hi,

I was diagnosed with DVT in the gastrocnemius vein. Most probable cause if due to not moving at all on a 10+ hour flight. I have pain similar to a muscle cramp on my left leg and I cannot walk without limping.

After going to the ER and doing an ultrasound, they said not to take any medication but to go back for a second ultrasound next week. I started taking 325 MG Aspirin.

Did someone have a similar experience ? What would be the approx. recovery time ? And when would I be able to walk normally ?Thank you.
